Sync products

How the sync works and which Wix fields map to which CMS fields.

Updated:

Create the collection

  • DO: Click Create new collection (you see Creating… while it runs). Framix names it after your site, for example your site (Wix Products).

  • SEE: ✓ Collection created with Open it from the Framer CMS panel to continue. You can make more later with Create another collection.

Run the sync

Open the collection. The sync card shows Ready to sync (or a last-synced label) with the count Empty collection or a count of items in the collection.

  • DO: Click Sync now.

  • SEE (running): In progress / Syncing, moving through its phases (pull, upload images, upsert, delete). You can stop it with Cancel.

  • SEE (done): Sync complete / a count of items synced, with either a count removed from the collection or Collection is up to date. Run it again any time with Sync again.

Framix runs a full sync: all products are pulled fresh, and products that no longer exist in Wix are also removed from the Framer CMS. This keeps your catalog clean. There is nothing to configure: the field mapping is built in.

Fields transferred

Product basics:

  • Title (product name)

  • Short Description (plain-text excerpt) and Description (rich text)

  • Price, Compare-at Price (for sale pricing) and Currency

  • Brand, SKU and Ribbon (the badge text, for example Sale)

  • Product Type (physical or digital) and Product URL (the Wix storefront page)

  • Visible (yes/no), Weight and Updated (last changed)

Stock:

  • Stock Status (In Stock / Out of Stock / Partially Out of Stock)

  • Stock Quantity (bind it to the Qty Stepper's Max Quantity to cap per product)

Categories, so you can filter, group and tag products in Framer:

  • Category and Category Slug (the primary category)

  • Categories and Category Slugs (every category the product belongs to)

Images:

  • Main Image and Gallery Images

  • Gallery Image 1 to 10, single-image copies you can bind one by one

  • Gallery Data, the whole gallery for the Variant Selector's image mode

Variants and product info, for the storefront components:

  • Has Variant and Variant Data (the size and color options)

  • Variant Image Map (the photos Wix links to each choice)

  • Info Sections (rich text) and Info Sections Data (for the Info Sections component)

Linking and your own notes:

  • Wix Product ID and Wix Client ID (used to link the buy components)

  • Custom Text 1 and 2, Custom Number 1 and 2. These are yours to fill in the Framer CMS, and a re-sync never overwrites them.

The slug is taken from the Wix slug.

Auto-sync

On paid plans the Auto-Sync box lets you sync automatically. When off you see Auto-sync is off. Turn on to sync automatically. When on you see Time till next sync with a countdown. On Free, the box reads Auto-Sync is only available for MID / TOP users with Upgrade and Sync Manually.

When it goes wrong

  • Permission denied / Sync requires write permission on managed collections. The Framer role cannot write to the collection. The card may show Reconnect required with a Reconnect button: reconnect with the right permissions.

  • Reconnect required / Wix connection lost. Reconnect to retry. The Wix link dropped. Reconnect, then sync again.

  • Auto-sync not available / Auto-sync requires the Mid or Top plan. You can still sync manually any time. Upgrade for auto-sync, or keep using Sync now.

  • Auto-sync paused / Cooldown active before the next auto-sync. Sync manually to run now. It is between scheduled runs. Click Sync now if you cannot wait.

  • Slow down / You're syncing too fast. Wait a few seconds and try again. Pause briefly, then retry.

  • Wix upstream failed / Wix returned a status code. Try again in a moment. Wix had a hiccup. Retry shortly.

  • Something went wrong / Sync failed. General failure. Click Try again.

  • Sync cancelled / The sync was stopped. Retry to run it again. You cancelled it. Retry when ready.

  • No store bound / No Wix store connected. Connect above to start syncing. Connect a store first (see "Connect your Wix store").

If your plan limit is hit, see Plans & Limits.
